DEMO DEMO DEMO!

Because I only see my students 1 day in a 6 day rotation for 45 minutes I try to give them as much work time as possible...Sometimes I do this by not demonstrating certain parts of the project because I think they can do it with just me explaining. Turns out that doesn't work (for any grade). Here on out, I really need to demo ALMOST everything. So many questions and do-overs can be avoided making it worth it to have 5 minutes less work time!

  1. Oh my, yes! Either demonstrating how to do it or at least showing them a finished demo makes all the difference! I usually like them to come up with their own version so I don't steer them too much, but sometimes they need a little help.

    1. By the end of the school year I had it just about figured out with what grades/class/students needed more demonstrations than others, and now I have to start figuring it out all over again! Teachers never stop learning!
